How do I get the newspaper to write an article on something we do?
I was put together with the message marketing campaigns text for some of my clients in the Raleigh NC. This platform allows text to these companies to market their databases opt-in. I assign restaurants, shops and retail stores who do and I would love to help spread the word about their campaigns text. How can I do to propose news paper to write on small businesses going mobile?
You contact the paper – I suggest you use the phone – Ask to speak to the editor or news business if a major newspaper, the editor if in a small market or a weekly newspaper. Then you explain what your program is and tell them that if they were interested in making a story that would benefit many of their local advertisers (and have a list of companies that you are servicing … names, contact persons and phone numbers … ready to e-mail to him). If the paper is interested in such a story, they will tell you if they are not interested there is nothing you can do. If there are other documents that cover your area, contact them as well … and remember that small publications weekly or monthly business in your area … I think they would be more willing to make a story … and they try to sell advertising these companies also, but this is not your concern.
