March 1: Account receivable $ 20,000 cash capital contribution credit (or some form of capital account) $ 20,000 March 4: Equipment DEBIT CREDIT contributed capital (or some form of capital account) This, ideally, should not be recognized at $ 1,000. It should be recorded at cost. But if no other information is given, then the use of $ 1,000.
