CDMA for doom?
I get annoyed with the amount of mobile phone technology on the market. And their close network with Telstra CDMA down, it might be time I clarified. So what's the difference with HSDPA, 3G, EDGE, GSM, GPRS and CDMA?
CDMA is a technology driven mainly in North America, but can be found in other parts of the world. You see more and more CDMA operators outside North America North to move to a variant of GSM. GSM is the main cellular technology used in the rest of the world. GSM has evolved over time with GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA are developments of this technology brings new functionality and higher speeds. The new radio technology is mobile WiMAX and LTE. These two technologies are still relatively new and will not be widely deployed for at least another few years. I recommend you watch mobile phone. If you need good data services on your mobile device, so I recommend UMTS or HSDPA. Especially if you need voice ringing with occasional or web page, then a GSM phone with EDGE will be fine.
