Programming
A list of "Radio AAHS Top 20 Countdown" at the first (March 1995) the magazine of short duration network, shows the eclectic mix of music. Number one was a cover of the song Fine Young Cannibals, She Drives Me Crazy, recorded on the album Singalong by Muppet Kermit and Miss Piggy. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Theme was # 4, while two original songs by the Olsen twins, I Just Can not Wait To Be King (from the soundtrack of the Lion King), a song for children Janet and Judy, and actor Jim Carrey's version of Cuban Pete, completed the list.
Programming network began with a morning show, The All-American revival (which was introduced by Craig Taubman song, Good Morning to the top of the hour 6-11 EST) and continued with music all day, and a function of news for children, skits, jokes and stories. Revenues advertising from sponsors such as Disney, Mattel and General Mills. During 199596, the magazine of the network included a CD or tape of Radio AAHS favorites in the subscription.
End of operations
Disney launched its own network, children CHR-oriented, Radio Disney, spelled the demise of Radio AAHS. Despite the acquisition by Time-Warner, the Children's Broadcasting Corporation was unable to compete with Disney. After briefly renaming itself AAHS World Radio, the network interrupted its programming in January 1998. Broadcast Corporation a random mix of music and paid programming (CT 6:00 to 6:00 p.m.) and Beat Radio, a dance / club music format (CT 6:00 p.m. to 6:00), until its ten stations owned by the company could be sold. The sale of the stations was completed in late October 1998 to Catholic Family Radio.
In 2002, children's programming has won a lawsuit against Disney for $ 9.5 million in damages. The ruling became final in 2004, but the experience of recorded music Radio AAHS specifically for children has never been attempted again. Sirius and XM channels (both 116) for Children, Kid Stuff and XM children, respectively. Some staff members of Radio Aahs joined XM.
